?Very rarely will you see me unhappy during a holiday shopping trip?—but this one just really got under my skin! Over the past couple years I’ve been a crazy label lady. Like…TOTAL FREAK. I check every label of every food, drink, beauty and cleaning product i get my hands on?. Why? Because i realized how much crap we are putting in, and on, our bodies on a daily basis—it’ll blow yo mindddd??. I have been wanting to make puppy treats for awhile, and planned to for the upcoming MLM Pop Up Shop. So these cute little frosted numbers caught my eye right away! i thought, “oh! I’ll just copy whatever ingredients are in these!” Uhhhhhh, no. Artificial flavors, artificial colors, sugar…etc etc. Knowing the effects these ingredients can have on humans, it’s safe to assume the same goes for our fur babies—and even more so because dogs can not tolerate the same foods we can. For instance, chocolate, avocados, onions, grapes are just some of the big no-no’s for dogs. So, for the first time in a long time…i was a pissed off shopper (i also hadn’t eaten anything yet so I’m sure i was pretty hangry). BUT! I went on Pinterest when i got home and looked up some healthy dog treat recipes and cannot wait to try and share them with you! ? ??If you want to make your own dog treats, look for simple recipes that contain ingredients like sweet potatoes, peanut butter, pumpkin, bananas, carrots, and quinoa.
Have you made homemade treats for your fur babe?! Dying to hear what you’ve tried?
